A few back to school goodies!

So, I'm still out of state on vacation and where did I go a few days ago? A teacher supply store, of course! You can take the teacher out of the classroom, but you can never completely take the "classroom" out of the teacher (even on her summer vacation!)
While driving around Phoenix, I saw this cute store and I made my mom pull into the parking lot to take a little looksie!
Although on the smaller side, this store did not disappoint. Teaching Stuff in Phoenix had lots of great educational products and classroom decor.  Since I had not been in a teacher supply store all summer, I had to check it out and see what was new.
After loading my cart with some new goodies (not as much as I'd like since I had to fit it all in my already packed suitcases- yep, you read that right, I took two full size suitcases for 5 weeks away- I'm crazy!) Anyway, that's beside the point, when I got up to the counter, my sweet mom surprised me and purchased all the goodies for me!
My mom has had this tradition since my first year of teaching, were she likes to purchase new border for my classroom (she has also purchased many, many other things and made tons of things for me through the years, but buying border is a favorite of hers!) I think she may have been feeling guilty that this will be the first year she won't be able to help me get my classroom ready since she just up and moved to Phoenix, therefore, she bought everything! Ha! I love you mommy and I'll be thinking of you as I sweat in my hot, non-air conditioned classroom next week!
I can't wait to get into my classroom and start decorating! Oh, and to see my amazing co-workers too!!

  1. I love how you went into a teacher store on vacation...that sounds like something I would do. Lately though, it is Hobby Lobby for all of my crafts...one day I went 3 times. =)

I cannot wait to see pictures of your adorable classroom. =)
